Murffy
We said when Alli turns 10 we would get a puppy. We put the kids off as long as we could. So here he is......so far he has been a pretty good puppy. He is a puppy though so he has a lot of learning to do. He will get about 8-10lbs at full grown. A big difference from the 75lb Retreiver we once had. We are learning too.
Some comments from the kids:
Erin "He is a good deal mom...he comes with accessories." (The lady gave us food and a couple dog toys to take with him)
Alli "I never thought I could love anything so much."
Tyler "He really doesn't like his cage mom, I think he could just sleep in my room, I'll even clean it up for him."

Some fun end of the school year activities
Field day was a beautiful day. The kids got to have a picnic lunch and play all kinds of games. They all got a ribbon for effort. Alli's team pretty much won it as they outpulled all the other teams at tug-of-war.
We had a park day with Alli's class. They went to a local park and hiked with a ranger. They found toads, frogs and a couple butterfly's. Then had a picnic lunch. It was kind of a rainy day but all in all fun for the kids. Erin's end of the year field trip is still to come this week.
Tyler has already made some friends. The older boys get a such a kick out of him. He is pretty funny.
This morning I got to attend the end of the year chapel. What a blessing to gather in the gym with the kids and praise the Lord. With hands raised in praise they sang Holy is the Lord God Almighty. For the 8th graders it was a final farewell. Many of them joined hands together, as their kindergarten buddies and former teachers laid hands on them and prayed for them as they would go off to High school. There were no dry eyes in the gym as we glimpsed the face of Jesus smiling down on that gym. I give thanks for another year that the Lord has provided our children a wonderful school where they can grow in the Lord. Thanks be to God!!!!
Preschool graduation
Tyler with his best friend Matthew and his teacher.
Tyler getting his preschool diploma. The teacher asked what they wanted to be when they grow up and his answer was a hockey player. He was kind of bummed because a couple of the boys said monster truck drivers. He said afterwords he didn't know that was a REAL job so he just picked hockey player.
We had to get a picture with Mrs. Daniels. Tyler really loved her. She subbed while Mrs Dyken was out on materity leave. He mostly liked her because she did share time and always let him tell the boys about the Red Wings. She was a Black Hawks fan so the 2 of them had a fun few months teasing about who would win the games. Tyler has really missed preschool. Definately ready for Kindergarten......
