Not Mr. Mc Gregor
Erin says, "Quick!! send Murf out he can scare the rabbits out of the garden." Tyler says, "Erin let me handle this." He grabs some gloves and the hose nozel and off he goes....And then I hear him yell in from the yard at Erin who's on the deck, "Awe he's so cute and little. DON'T let Murf out Erin." Erin says, "They may be cute but they eat everything." Tyler says, "Well Erin we have lots to eat in the fridge and he only has the garden. I think we should just let him have it."......

Grandpa's cages
When asked how did you learn to hit the ball like that? Tyler answers, "I learned at my Grandpa's cages."
Thanks Grandpa for letting Tyler use your cages. He was 8/8 with on base hits tonight at practice.
Reminds me of a funny story... totally true... and if you know my Dad, even funnier..... I remember as a kid my dad built a pitching machine to use in the backyard. He built it out of spare parts. My guess is, it was a lawn mower engine and a wheel barrel wheel. The ball went through a piece of PVC pipe and the wheel propelled it. On the first trial run it flung a baseball all the way across the highway into a field (about 3/4 of a mile). I remember my Dad's comment, "hmmm ..... that went a little further then I thought." "Not sure I brought another ball."

Sister coach
Tyler started baseball practices. The girls wanted to ride along since some of their friends from school are there watching their siblings. Erin said to Tyler on the way home, "Tyler you just have to swing and hit the ball as hard as you can to the fence." Tyler reply's, "Erin, it looks easier than it is."
I giggled...

God's team
Things have been busy, busy around here, and I love it!! Sometimes I just giggle when I look at all the things I have to get done in a day. My calendar is full of so many things I need to get done. I marvel at the blessings and responsibilities the Lord has given to me and our family. The kids have participated in many activities and I enjoy finding special moments to teach them through something they can relate to.
Quote of the day, "I figured out today, sometimes you have take the ball to the hoop and just score the basket. I would like to pass but it isn't always the best option."~Erin Kruithoff
Couldn't have said that one better.... I smiled when she said it because the Holy Spirit whispered to my heart. Teaching MOMENT!! Yes my dear...not only in basketball but in life.
We talked a little about basketball and life. We need a team (other Christians) and they need us. We all have to pull our weight in order for the team to work. Sometimes God throws us the ball. He wants us to do something with it. Even take a shot, just to discover, we could make the basket from what looked like an impossible angle. He wants us to work hard even when we are tired. Passing although it may seem like an easier option many not always be the best one. You are a very important player in God's team. He has blessed you with talents and gifts and you need to use them. Savor your time outs to the very end. For it is then that you will get the instruction from your Coach to finish the game.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race." 2 Timothy 4:7
Blessing to you today as you play with all you might and fight the good fight.
