Often on my way to work I listen to devotions. It is sometimes the only way I can have that time on those busy days. It was a great reminder this morning as the author of this devotion compared fishing to winning people to the Lord. I did quite a bit of fishing as a kids so it made a lot of sense....
1. Point one... you must use bait. This is a process because you need to get to know your fish.
2. You must WAIT... sometimes for a long time and sometimes it pays to stick it out a little longer.
3. Point 3... you can't clean a fish until it is caught. Jesus can't clean up a life he is not in.
So there were several other good points but these are the highlights. I really needed that on my way to work, as many days I do a great deal of fishing for men.
Hope this blesses your day.

Field trip to the Critter Barn
We met the cow.
Tyler milked the goat.
We got to hold brand new baby chicks.
Pet the most unusual rabbits. Tyler said "Mom look they have poodles." Well they did look like poodles.......with slightly longer ears.

Hockey
Tyler certainly is making great improvements in skating. We are having fun watching him get better every week. He can't wait until the lakes freeze over so he can skate. A few times a day he asks "When will it be winter and could we move to a lake," (taking the neighbor friends with of course). Cold never seems to bother him and he sure loves ice and snow. Mommy does not feel quite the same but the enthusiasm for hockey is contagious.
Happy Birthday
6 years old. We are having so much fun watching you grow up. You make us laugh every day with your silly sense of humor. We pray for you that you continue to grow up and grow in the Lord. We consider it such a blessing to be your parents.
We are learning hockey with you which has been a challege but we would do anything to see you light up like you do when you take the ice. Your comment "I love the smell of this place in the morning." still makes us laugh. We look forward to watching you play.
Your collection of monster trucks is impressive. The fact that you know each ones name and what kind of truck it is, makes us smile.
We can sense the big plans for you, with your outgoing spirit and your sense of humor. You will touch many peoples lives. Already, you have so many friends at school. You walk down the hall giving high fives to everyone you see. Even the older boys enjoy your company. We consider it such an honor to have you as our son. We love you, Mom, Dad and Sisters.
