I loved my Bible study moment this morning. Thought I would share. My study took me to the Isrealites and the situation of the Red Sea on one side and the furious Egyptian army on the other. With no where to go and a bad situation on either side, they began to panic.
Ever been there?? I trusted you God and now this.....
Exodus 14:14 (God's response)
"The Lord will Fight for you; you need only be still."
Be still........and I will hold off the army and part the sea. Just be still.... don't panic and quit gripping at me... I am in control, because I am GOD and you are not. Be still...
Have a blessed day....

Happy Easter
What a beautiful sunny Easter morning. I always love to see the sun on Easter morning. Of course I got to see the sun rise too. As the kids were excited to find the easter eggs that were hidden by "the Easter bunny" the night before. They were also excited to get to the exciting day ahead. What a joy to celebrate with my kids at church. We had a wonderful service and a sanctuary filled with Easter lillies and joy filled Christian brothers and sisters. Our service included an amazing dramatic presentation including the last supper and scenes from the Easter morning empty tomb. We are so blessed to serve a risen savior!!! We then had a great Easter feast at the Mom Hart Resturante'. I think I am still full:) Happy Easter!!!!

Spring..are you really here????
Wow... I think it is here. Top few reasons I am sure spring has sprung:
1. The tulips are about and inch tall all around the yard. Alli came running in to tell me. "Mom there are little green things coming up. You have to come out and see."
2. Erin spotted a robin. I made first robin day cheese cake. yummmy
3. Tyler tracked sand into the house. Sand.... not mud or snow or ice chunks
4. I spotted sweet ants in the entry way.
5. I woke to the birds singing this morning and the kids were not up fighting yet... Praise the Lord for spring ahead!!!
6. The GVSU students are wearing shorts to the grocery store.
7. Can barely fit the car in the garage because of all the two wheeled toys which found there way in there.
8. I did not have to hang up coats
9. I did not have to hang up coats
10 I did not have to hang up coats, or find mittens, or inside out snow pants, or find boots or find scarves or hats or ear muffs or a dry pair of gloves or boots or scarves.........Praise the Lord for spring!!!!!!!!!!! I think we made it....

Hockey Boy
Tyler got his first chance to play hockey today. I was a little nervous when I saw skill and the size of the other boys but he did great and loved it. He was for sure the newest and littlest player on the ice but he was willing to get in there and try it all. He can play in April and start cross ice games in the fall, if he (more so his parents) is ready. It was surprising to see his improvement in just an hour. It's hard for us, just to get him in all the gear. Tyler was born into a family who is learning hockey along with him. I was just thankful to see him so excited about the whole experience. To be honest I would have been frustrated because the other kids where so much more experienced on the ice but when he got in the car to go home the first question was "How many days until next week Saturday?" We had to explain that this was just a one shot deal and the class didn't start until April. He was a little bummed but then asked, "How many day's until April." Well "Hockey boy"...quite a few.... He explained to me, as I was helping him change that he had to get back out there to practice so he could go as fast as the other boys. "That's how you get good mom," he said "you have to practice." The secret is revealed.....It may also help to be 7 or 8 ???

Caught
Last night Tyler came in from playing outside. It was a bit after 7. The girls had gone out right after finishing dinner and went to work on the fort. Tyler was still down stairs playing hockey when he realized the neighbor kids were playing with Alli and Erin. So he threw on his snow clothes and ran out the door. So he came inside and began to ask for sugar snacks. I was busy and distracted and agreed to what ever he was asking for..... Just before he ran out of the room to get his cookies and chocolate milk it dawned on me and I asked "Did you even have supper?" With a big smile he said, "AWWW you caught me.... I thought you wouldn't remember because you look busy." ........When did he turn 12????????

Bath time
I bought Tyler some new shampoo. He really does not like to take baths so I thought it would help to have his own shampoo. It has lightning McQueen on it from the cars movie. When I popped the bottle open to wash his hair he just smiled and said "I hope it smells like racing gas."
